As I'm sure you know, today is Earth Day.
You may be asking yourself "How you can I help save the earth when I'm just a small business owner?".
Every little bit helps, maybe you commuted today or rode your bike, perhaps you used the same paper cup to drink from the water cooler all day. Or maybe you haven't done anything...yet. It's not too late!
Here's what we did today to contribute:
1. We purchased re-usable shopping bags.
2. We changed out the light bulbs in the office to CFL's (Compact Fluorescent Lamps).
3. We used Blackle today instead of Google.
Small beans I know, but if every person just made a few small changes today - we could make a huge difference.

At work it seems everyone forgets what their parents taught them. I walk around the office after people have left and find lights left on, computers and fans still running and I do my best to try and turn things off before I leave for the night. I adjust the AC too so that it is not blasting all night long while no one is here. I know it has helped our PG&E, so I'm sure it's helping Mother Earth too! That's my contribution!
Thanks for commenting Darlene. I've seen that in big offices I've worked in. It's almost as if people think that they aren't paying for it, so why bother? But they actually are paying for it in the long run :)
